Toolmaker / Workshop Supervisor: Pretoria. To start ASAP.
Assist the Tool Room Manager with the management of the mould and die room.
Design, material planning and fabrication of moulds and dies
Marking out tool design on the ‘stock’ or casting following engineering drawings
Cutting and shaping parts using a combination of Lathes, Presses, Grinders and Cutting machines.
Checking tool’s dimensions with precision measuring instruments; micrometers and gauges.
Basic machine maintenance.
Maintain proper asset records and files for all equipment with complete machine identification, parts list, engineering drawing and all maintenance records.
In conjunction with the Maintenance Supervisor and production personnel, ensure preventive maintenance is carried out to achieve optimum availability of production equipment.
