IT Infrastructure Administrator: developing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all new and existing network hardware, software, and communication links. This role is also responsible for telephone, data center (physical and Cloud based), security systems and other electronic infrastructure.
Company situated in Midrand.
Salary between R 25 000 and R 32 000 pm.
Have excellent communication skills (verbal as well as writing) in English and/or Afrikaans.
Ability to analyze and interpret data (metrics) in order to improve the delivery and support of services to our customers.
1. Manage, monitor and maintain Windows Server Operating Systems on physical and virtual servers
2. Diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve Windows Server operating system issues
3. Diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve VMWare ESX Hosts and Virtual Machines problems
4. Manage, monitor and maintain Physical Server Hardware and Appliances
5. Support Microsoft Office 365 Administration tasks at the Tenant level
6. Complete IT Infrastructure related tasks related to IT projects
7. Helpdesk Management: Responsible for managing workload using a service desk system and ensuring that all incoming support requests are documented, prioritized, and addressed in a timely manner, taking full ownership of a problem where necessary.
8. Technical Support: Providing 1st/2nd line Yechnical support to end users, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues, assisting with network connectivity problems, setting up new devices, and resolving user inquiries and complaints.
9. Hardware and Software Maintenance: Assisting with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of computer hardware, peripherals, and software applications. This may involve deploying updates and patches, performing routine maintenance tasks, and ensuring proper inventory management of IT assets.
10. Documentation and Knowledge Management: It is essential to maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation related to common support issues, resolutions, and procedures. Duties may include creating knowledge base articles, user guides, and troubleshooting documentation to assist both IT staff and end users.
Qualification:
· Microsoft Certifications would be advantageous. Specifically, Microsoft 365 Administration.
Experience:
· Microsoft Office 365 Administration
· Administration of Cloud Identity Management
· Windows server hardware/software troubleshooting to the component level
· Windows Active Directory and Group Policy management and troubleshooting
· Managing, monitoring, and maintaining VMWare VCenters, ESX physical hosts, and virtual machines
· Supporting end users and endpoint systems
· Managing Vendors and building relationships
