Experience & Education

·         Matric

·         Passed the DC Exam (preferrable)

·         Registered with the NCR (preferable)

·         Experience in the Debt Review processes laid out in the Task Team Agreement (Including DCRS) and NCR published guidelines

·         Deep understanding of repayment plans and types of collection processes especially the DebiCheck process and rule set

·         Good knowledge of the functionality of a PDA (Hyphen Technologies advantageous)

·         Experience on utilizing a Debt Counselling system (Maximus-advantageous) and the interaction with a PDA

·         Clear criminal and credit records

·         5-7 years’ Experience in the Debt Review Industry and especially PDA processes and functionality

·         Experience in processing DebiCheck authentications

·         Any previous Banking experience would be beneficial

 

 

Main Purpose of this Role

·         To manage the team of PDA and DebiCheck clerks ensuring that time lines are maintained and that queues relating to suspensions, exceptions, rejections, DebiCheck authentications, etc. are attended to on a daily basis.

·         Ensuring that the PDA team controls, monitors, follow up and interact with consumers to continuously improve the take up rate of DebiCheck transactions and to report such to Line management on a weekly and monthly basis.

·         Where re-instating any Debt Order ensure that the correct signed Mandate has been provided by the consumer and filed on the system.

·         Plan and implement a strategy to improve slow payment months such as April, June and in particular December and January.

·         Updating repayment plans in respect of any paid-up letter received or unpaid recorded or payment arrangement made or file that was rejected by the PDA.

·         To report on the payment success rates of the various collection methods available via the PDA and TCTS.

·         A good knowledge of the Debt Review process and Task Team Agreement is necessary as well as an in-depth knowledge of the various repayment plans, the importance of first payment dates and PDA submission dates. In addition, an understanding of how a PDA works, the various mandates, reports and queues is essential.

·         Build and maintain excellent relationships with the PDA staff and management as well as providing support to TCDW staff in respect of PDA issues and queries.
